Our founder

Hi, I’m Priyam Sharma.

[Founder story placeholder. Replace these paragraphs with your own words. Two to four short paragraphs work well.]

[Your background in a sentence or two. For example, the kind of marketing work you’ve done and for how long.]

[What you noticed about how therapists are marketed to, and where generic agencies and tools fall short.]

I started Aloo to offer something better suited to therapists: the speed and affordability of AI-assisted work, with a person reviewing everything and real respect for your ethics and your clients’ privacy.

[Something personal: where you’re based, or what you care about outside work.]

Our name

Why we’re called Aloo

Aloo (ah-loo) means potato. My father was a farmer who grew potatoes, and I grew up eating a lot of them.

Farming is hard, patient work. A potato does most of its growing underground, out of sight, long before harvest. And even when a crop grows well, a spell of very cold weather can damage it and cut the yield. You can’t control the weather. You can do the work well, keep showing up, and get through the hard seasons.

A potato also grows from another potato. Plant one, and it grows several more. Save some to plant again, and over a few seasons one potato can become a whole field.

Marketing a practice works the same way. A clear website, accurate listings, and helpful articles do their work quietly, and results build season by season. One good article can become an email, a handful of social posts, and a page that keeps answering questions long after it’s published. And the expertise you share one-on-one can grow into a course or workshop that reaches many more people.

Some things are outside anyone’s control, like a search engine update, a change in how AI tools answer questions, or a quiet time of year. So we don’t promise results. We promise steady, careful work, an honest report every month, and a plan for what to do next when a month is slow.

Hard work, consistency, and resilience. That’s what farming takes, and it’s how we work for you.

Values

What we value

  • Careful over clever

We’d rather get it right than get it fast. Every claim is checked, and every clinical statement is approved by you.

  • Plain language

No jargon in your marketing or in our reports. If we can’t explain something simply, we rethink it.

  • Privacy by default

We collect as little as possible, keep client information out of our work, and choose tools with privacy in mind.

  • Your practice, your voice

You know your clients and your ethics. We bring marketing skill and time. You make the final call.

Why therapists

Why we only work with therapists

Therapy is a profession with rules most marketers never learn: ethics codes about testimonials, health privacy laws, state licensure, and a real duty not to overpromise.

Generic agencies tend to treat a private practice like any other small business. We built Aloo around those rules instead of working around them.

Focusing on one profession also means we don’t start from scratch with you. We already know the questions, the concerns, and the language.

Who we work with

  • Licensed therapists in private practice, including LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCs, psychologists, and counselors
  • Solo practitioners and small group practices
  • Therapists launching courses, workshops, or digital products
  • Practices anywhere in the United States. We work remotely.
